Dr. Paul Hsieh was born in Tokyo, Japan.
He received the B.S. degree in Economics
from National Taiwan University, Taipei,
Taiwan in 1957, the MBA degree from Waseda
University, Tokyo, Japan, and the Ph.D.
degree in Business Administration from
University of California at Los Angeles,
Los Angeles, USA.
He was Professor at the business school
of University of Southern California,
Los Angeles, USA, and Professor and Department
Head of Computer Science, Sooshow University,
Taipei Taiwan. He was Vice President
of International Bills and Financial
Corporation, Chairman of Pioneer High
Fidelity Taiwan Co., Ltd. and Pioneer
Electronic (Taiwan) Corporation. He
is Vice Chairman of Taiwan Base Association,
Commissioner of Waseda University Alumni
Association, Committee Member of Chinese
National Association of Industry and
Commerce, and Advisor of Chinese Committee
on East Asia Business. He is Chairman
of Pai-Yuing Co. Ltd. and Global Mixed-Signal
Technology, Inc.
Zekai
Hsiau, Ph.D.
Member of the Board
Dr. Zekai Hsiau was born in Taipei,
Taiwan. He received the B.S. degree
in Electrical Engineering from National
Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan in
1988, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer
Science from Stanford University, Palo
Alto, California, USA 1997.
He served as a Second-Lieutenant
Information Officer at the Marine Corp.
of Taiwan from 1988 to 1990. He consulted
in high-performance computing at Stanford
Linear Accelerator Center in 1993. From
1997 to 1999, he was Research Associate
at the Department of Electrical Engineering,
Stanford University working on high-performance
computing algorithms. From 1999 to 2000,
he was Technical Advisor to Tailyn Communication
Company, Ltd., developing embedded software
for communication systems. He is a board
member of Cargile Co., Ltd. and Global
Mixed-Signal Technology, Inc.
Jiin-Chuan
Wu, Ph.D.
Member of the Board
Dr. Jiin-Chuan Wu was born in Fengshan,
Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He received the B.S.
degree in Electrical Engineering from
National Taiwan University, Taipei,
Taiwan in 1977, and the M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees from Carnegie Mellon University,
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA in 1981
and 1986, respectively.
From 1986 to 1988,
he was a postdoctoral researcher at
the Department of Electrical and Computer
Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University
working on solid-state magnetic non-volatile
memory. From 1988 to 1991, he was a
member of staff at Jet Propulsion Laboratory
of California Institute of Technology
and National Aeronautic and Space Administration,
Pasadena California, USA, working on
spacecraft command and data storage
systems. He was Professor at the Department
of Electronics Engineering, National
Chiao-Tung University, Hsin-Chu, Taiwan.
His interests include wireless communication
systems IC design, wired communication
IC design, LCD controller and driver
design, high-speed digital IC design,
mixed-mode IC design, and power electronics.
He is currently the General Manager
of Global Mixed-Signal Technology, Inc.
